Spotlight Kids with Junior Thespians Troupe # 88928  Information

1.      Pick up the Audition Packet/Application Packet (if you are interested in Crew), which includes Year Long Calendar, Audition Pieces, and Audition Contract.  Prepare for an Audition, which will be on Friday, August 24, 2012. 3:30pm – 5:30pm. Auditions/Interviews will take place in the Reading Room (After care charges apply). Fill out the Conflict Calendar, and sign the Audition Contract. (You can pick up the Audition Packet/Application Packet (for Crew) at the Front Office or download it from here.

2.       Attend the Informational Meeting on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 held in the Media Center - 3:30pm – 5:00pm. At this meeting you will hear from the Junior Thespian Board as well as parents. This will give you an insight into the year-long commitment.  At this meeting you will turn in your Signed Conflict Calendar, and Audition Contract or Crew Application. Crew Members are required to fill out the Conflict Calendar too! 

 3.      On Friday, August 24, 2012 starting at 3:30pm – 5:30pm, you will be called in one at a time for an audition or crew interview.  Auditions/Interviews will be in the Reading Room. Please note: ONLY FOUR CREW SPOTS AVAILABLE!  

 4.      If you are chosen to be a part of “Award Winning,” Spotlights Kids you will be notified via a phone call by Monday, August 27, 2012.

5.       If you are chosen, you will receive a Spotlight Kids Registration Form and Contract. Fees and Contract will due on or before Friday, September 7, 2012. 


Fees:  August 2012 – May 2013: $375.00 for present MMS students 

                                                           $400.00 for past  MMS students.

Junior Thespian Fee:                      $45.00 for past and present students

Vocal Training 

with Ms. Liz Nelson:                        $100.00 for present MMS students 

                                                            $125.00 for past MMS students  

Vocal Training will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30pm - 5:00pm in the Media Center.  

PLEASE NOTE: VOCAL TRAINING FEE is Optional for CREW MEMBERS ONLY! 


Competition Fees:                            $150.00 Districts: November 30 - December 1, 2012

                                                            $160.00  State:      February 8 -  10, 2013

                                                             (TBA)     Disney:    February 22 - 24, 2013


Attending Plays Fees:                      $10.00 - $15.00 (per show)

6.      The first Drama Club meeting will be on Friday, August 31, 2012 in the Middle School Classroom – 3:30pm – 6:00pm.
